Organizational Structure
| Riki Merrick / Keith Cambell
| Have created the Strategic Plan - it is in the final stages, so time to re-organize the Committees whose goal it was to write the plan into Committees that can support the implementation of the individual components of the plan Depending on how we organize (are we a formal or informal organization - see next topic) we may need to consider the structure of the committees, representation and governance How we make the strategic plan real – which one on the private, which on the public side
NEXT STEP: Create a confluence page for new committee structure = Organization of Committees for Implementation NOTE: The confluence pages do NOT require log-in and anyone can edit, but that also means the program cannot attribute statements made - so if you care to make sure folks know it is your contribution, include your name/initials with it! |
Naming of SHIELD | Riki Merrick / Keith Cambell | What do we want to be, when we grow up? Are we a collaborative or a partnership? “Co-Lab-orative” would be the fun name 😊 How formal? Are there legal implications with each of these terms? We are a partnership and have formal documents – or it is an informal partnership without formal documentation? Do we enumerate the organizations involved? We have always been an open group – we don’t want to add processes to make joining harder, if not needed We should still write out how we want to organize ourselves What does it mean to be a member – obligations and benefits MDIC went through that process – Riki will reach out to get some more info on how they did it Making sure we have process to get meaningful input and review
NEXT STEP: Create a confluence page to collect info about partnership / collaborative difference and other hings we can learn from what other organizations have already done NOTE: The confluence pages do NOT require log-in and anyone can edit, but that also means the program cannot attribute statements made - so if you care to make sure folks know it is your contribution, include your name/initials with it! |
