Discussion

  • CAP Today Article Update/Discussion

    • Kevin’s update: Spoke with Bob McGonagle:

      • Share names of who we want to have interviewed

      • We can send them collateral (reference documentation)

      • All sources will have opportunity to review the draft

      • No need for questions in advance, may want to talk to sources in advance to determine how they’d like to orient the story.

      • Consider including other sources as well.

      • CAP has a contract with FDA related to LIDR. CAP team is looking to get their own CAP article. Potentially some overlap in content. Kevin will be coordinating with other team.

      • Late 2021 article: New hope for lab data interoperability - CAP TODAY (captodayonline.com)

  • Overview/Outline Document for article - Nirmala to work on Background/History. Eric to edit other sections.

  • LIS Vendor and IVD Vendor recruitment - Discussed opportunities to get more LIS and IVD Vendors involved:

    • LIS

      • Meditech

      • Clinisys (Sunquest, Data Innovations)

      • SCC (Soft Computing)

      • Cerner

      • Blood Bank LIS

      • AP LIS (ex, Psyche Systems, Novopath, etc.)

      • Orchard

    • IVD

      • Beckman Coulter

      • Coag market vendors

      • Foundation Medicine

      • Abbott

    • HIMSS could be an opportunity to solicit participation from some of the vendors (primarily LIS, but some IVD vendors may also be attending)

  • Presentation opportunities - Need to review on next meeting
