LIDR Elements Discussion

 Not today

Review LIDR White Paper

From last week: Raja added a sentence - Xavier to review to see, if that reolves his comments - done

Will start with “Roadmap for LIDR - Riki” review - goal of this section is to take the requirements Stan wrote up and put them in temporal order to create something useful right away and then expand on that

Discussion:

  • Why splitting into content and tooling - to help a reader see a place where they can help

  • need to be more clear about the timing aspect - add expected duration and starting points (POST-CALL thought: highlight steps that can be started right now vs those that have dependencies)

  • LIDR can have observationDefinitions for all the additional clinical context needed to successfully convert IVD vendor provided attributes into the lab’s test compendium

  • address situations for LOINC system = XXX (or clinical specimen) - in the future support the SCT mapping for these, when not granularly represented in LOINC (and even if it is, should still be SCT encoded and provided)

  • Would be good to provide tooling to convert excel to FHIR representation

Next Steps:

Draft more content identifying steps in the roadmap - labeling as content vs tooling (or both, if applicable) and provide a bit more of a timeline for each step
