 LIDR White Paper Review

Reviewing the comments on the LIDR White Paper = LIDR White Paper

  • Diagram feedback follow up:

  • Discussion around implementation

    • using LIDR ID in transmissions vs using the codes represented in the row of the unique entry

    • goal for transmission is using the entries represented in LIDR (compared to what folks are sending now)

    • look up would be based on the instrument + test kit combination

      • even if not yet adopted / implemented in LIS

    • testing for compliance will be different question - we are trying to enable the systems to have the content and configuration required to implement in the long term

    • separating methods from LOINC will be available but pre-coordination will still be supported

  • Roadmap section:

    • Looks ok as is

  • How to get involved section:

    • added sentence to reach out to laboratorians for their input

    • Looks ok

  • Implementation Consideration section- added between Roadmap and How to get involved

    • Riki will write up strawman

    • include considerations around certification

    • differniate between system level and user level and include feasability of features and pilot testing

    • keep this short

Open To Dos:

  • Riki to write the Implementation Consideration section

  • Need to check reference style and pick one

  • Reviewed comments on introduction - Still need to check for best place to talk about CLSI AUTO-16/IHE LAW (question: has anyone implemented in the US in production?)

  • Andrea to write up her sentences as per comments

GOAL: Get to SC for their 12/3 call!!!

Review examples of merged cell LIVD file entries

https://aphlinformatics.atlassian.net/wiki/download/attachments/1938718763/Copy-HIV-Diagnostic-LOINC-Map_v5.xlsx?api=v2

essentially the repeating cells were merged for readability, they all would be separate LIVD file entries with the same UDI
