·       Develop a template for communication we can use for variety of purposes, find stakeholders

·       Upload definitions of traceability and interoperability

·       Create page of identification of partners and their current policies regarding interoperability of IVDs

  1. Identify 3 Strategies for the committee that align with the overall goal of SHIELDAnnouncements

a.        This will help us with the Strategy Map component of the Strategic Plan document

Identify Key Initiatives/Action Items for each of the 3 strategies and deliverables that would accompany these initiatives 

We are planning to a briefing of CDC.

Issues/Resolution:

·       Engage all members through value chain

·       This committee will serve multiple purposes

·       Strategy would be efficient to solve real world problems generated from laboratory interoperability and broader data issues

o   5 year roadmap

§  Identify tests that should be generating the same results

·       Vision:

o   Understanding the test the same way everywhere

§  Calibration data is an example of disjoint localized data which isn’t interoperable

o   Categorizing where types go

o   Standardize naming through the health care continuum

·       Strategies:

o   Identify use cases (function and non-functional) from which the SHIELD committees should provide solutions too

o   Adhere to the vision enabling architecture (Solar Knowledge Architecture) to provide highly reliable informatics-based solutions

o   Iteratively and incrementally design, develop, and deploy necessary tooling to meet SHIELD use case needs

o    work on issues on policies and leadership
