• Dealing with calculations / additional observations (in LIDR or elsewhere)

  • Calibrators

  • Provide guidance on best terminology representation for specific methods (TBD in which committee)

  • test cut-offs (included into instrument vs determined on-site)

  • log ratios

  • semi-quant result values (recording of semi-quant or qual or both) - same UDI, but different LOINC

  • Antimicrobial testing

    • cards (aka device) has 1 UDI for the card (and thus all antimicrobials on a card or for each antimicrobial and thus each result and value) and 1 for the instrument, each Abx will have unique LOINC (method specific) - see: Abx Example

      • Look at the Gram Pos Cocci Panels.  The same antibiotic has the same UDI, but result values differ by organism.  Looks like LIDR would need to know the organism to distinguish result values and meaning.

    • different "formulations" of the same antibiotic would be mapped to the same LOINC code but have different card UDI's - Would there be any cases where the same antibiotic would be on the same card and another distinctive would be needed for LIDR?

    • same LOINC for qualitative or quantitative ASTs - LIDR would distinguish these result values with how the result value is reported (qual/quant)
