  • Current Items in Scope:

    • Develop a Plan for Steady State:

      • Prioritized list of tests.

      • Establish manufacturer engagement.

      • Funding for the LIVD file repository.

        • We could do without, if we don’t have funding, as long as we get manufacturer engagement and a means to maybe have a central landing page with links to each manufacturer.

    • Develop tooling for access:

      • Manual use of the file content (assisted mapper.)

      • API access for computer use of the file content for both automatic and assisted mapping.

      • Content model development (this could help provide the definitional context clinical decision support may need to build mapping algorithms, workflow logic, charting / analysis support.)

    • Develop feedback loop for mapping updates.

    • Identify new data elements that need to be added to the LIVD format at HL7:

      • Coded representation of the specimen.

      • Coded representation of units of measure.

      • ?? Order codes (for some multi-plex this would be helpful, but it would not always be filled out, especially for tests that can be integrated into different panels in different labs.)

      • ?? Indicator if this test can easily be compared to similar tests, or if this is a kind of test, where additional clinical context, calibration, unit differences are common (high impact on patient safety.)

    • Develop LIVD Roadmap of Supporting Activities.
