Review: Identify tangible activities for this working group

All documents for AST and D-Dimer have been collated.

Examine LRI specification to identify if proper interpretation of result possible given the message standard.

SAC SPM 32-40 exist in HL7 tables that speak to specimen condition but these may not be in the result message. https://v2plus.hl7.org/2021Jan/segment-definition/SAC.html

Next steps

Find a co-chair for this group!
Move all attachments to the reference documents and attachments page.
Pull specification for LRI and post with the thought to examine if all data necessary for proper interpretation have been accounted for (e.g. B6 supplement for accurate AST resulting, interferences, hemolysis, etc).
Use that specification to explore standards for each of the data elements for D-Dimer, AST to start with
Create a googlesheet with LRI data elements for easier review by this group
Identify gaps in spec, data elements, and content standards
Prepone next meeting due to President’s Day. Next meeting will be Feb 12th at the usual time (1:30 pm eastern).
This workgroup is slated to comment on the roadmap’s approach to addressing educational / training gaps in the use of standards such as LOINC. Will address at next meeting!
