45 Minutes	Gather Feedback on Articles 2 (Sections 3-5) & 3 of Draft Charter	Huguelet / Jonnaert	ARTICLE TWO: PURPOSES AND GOVERNING INSTRUMENTS Section 3: Mission Section 4: Guiding Principles Section 5: Governing Instruments Work in completing Article 2 followed the principle of keeping the language more general, rather than enumerating and codifying more specific details in terms of goals and such as part of the Charter. After beginning operation and electing a Steering Committee, revisiting these topics will be one of the first activities that the SC will need to address. One of the main topics of conversation was whether or not the SHIELD Community should begin its life as a legal entity, perhaps with membership fees. The decision made was that SHIELD Committee will begin its life as an informal, free-to-participate collaboration. After beginning operation and electing a Steering Committee, these questions can be re-examined more fully and the Charter amended as necessary.
