Datapult Topics | Doug | NIST will not have the co-constraint tables available to export from IGAMT to GVT until mid-October, assuming they do not find any major issues |
Code system Versioning |
| Updating the code system version (this is what triggers a new version) - how do we update programs to use the NEW codes PHINVADS submissions are March and September - that resets the versioning - We should set up a mechanism to notify project terminologists to review their value sets for deprecated codes, make updates and send notification to the program participants Example some PLR codes have had SCT codes for 3+ years - need to set up a system to notify the affected programs and notify the implementers to get them to update? This requires updates to the valuesets in EACH program. Updating the reference documentation AND notify both senders and receivers For PHLIP we used to publish in Feb so make those the codees to use for the NEXT flu season; publication on sharepoint - we encouraged PHLs to sign up for notifications We used to request codes used from Sang once a year for VPD and PHLIP to find the older codes - then notified the PHLs, if it was a problem Also working with Clinical Architecture to figure out versioning - may need to update. We need to also set up protocols / processes to update IGAMT / GVT and TCAMT test cases ! DECISION: For each program, when a new encoding guideline / value set list is created send notice to the project’s respective CCB list including the list of deprecated codes. |

Show and Tell? |
| Do we have a topic for October? Sign up to be a presenter for an SOP worthy topic, if you are the one most familiar with the topic, estimate time it will take, and pick a date you might want to present on Review the list of SOP worthy topics and add more (what do you think folks need to know, if they are taking over your work, or what skill do you know one of us has, that you would like to learn more about) |

Quick decisions not requiring context or tracking
For quick, smaller decisions that do not require extra context or formal tracking, use the “Add a decision…” function here.
- For each program, when a new encoding guideline / value set list is created send notice to the project’s respective CCB list including the list of deprecated codes.
Decisions requiring context or tracking
For decisions that require more context (e.g., documentation of discussion, options considered) and/or tracking, use the decision template to capture more information.
